夏休み & 今週の輪読
茨城大学では 8/11〜9/28 がレギュラーの授業の開講がない夏休みになります．私も 8/9 に期末試験の追試験を実施して前期の担当授業は全て終了しました．授業以外の業務についても計画年休の取得で 8/11〜8/16 は全学的に夏休みになります．

期末試験 & 今週の輪読
茨城大学では 8/2（火）〜8/8（月）が期末試験期間になっています．ちょうど新型コロナウイルス感染症の第 7 波の真っ最中なので，感染者や濃厚接触者になり試験が受けられなくなってしまう学生も多発しているのではないかと思われます．ニュースによると東大教養学部ではコロナ感染者に対する救済策がなく大騒ぎになっているようですが，茨大では基本的に追試験対象者になるので，コロナに罹ったから留年というような事態は起こらないはずです．
長谷川が担当している二年生向けの科目「一般化学 II」では今年度から通常の期末試験期間の一週間前に期末試験を実施し，期末試験の時間帯に期末試験の振り返りの授業を行うやり方にしました．大学では期末試験を受けたら後は野となれ山となれという感じの授業がほとんどですが，本来はできなかった問題を復習することが重要だと思います．
