Rice Phytoalexins
Phytoalexins are low-molecular-weight antimicrobial substances that plants accumulate after pathogen attack. Phytoalexins look like fungicides that plants can make for themselves. Our laboratory has continued to study rice phytoalexins for more than 40 years and found extraordinary diversity of rice phytoalexins.
